I love photographing nature and the landscape. I started using a Canon while living in South Carolina in the early 1990's. After I
got my Canon, I went to a few nature photography seminars. I kept running into the same group of people. We started talking about
the need for an organization to promote nature photography. We founded the Carolina's Nature Photographers Association in 1994. I
am a past president of the association.
I also joined the North American Nature Photography Association as a charter member.
As
my passion grew for landscape and nature photography grew, I purchased a Zone VI 4x5 large format camera in 1996. That same year,
there was a reduction in force at my job. I decided to leave my position and travel so I could photograph the many beautiful and varied
landscapes in these United States. I spent four summer seasons living and working in Grand Teton National Park. I also lived and worked
in Yosemite National Park for eighteen months. The opportunity of living in these National Parks inspired my excitement for nature
and landscape photography to a new height.
In 2004, I moved to Lynchburg, Virginia to be with someone I've known for thirty
years. I married her the following year. Now you can share my excitement of nature and landscape photography.
In my galleries, you can browse through my photos and see what I saw and what inspired my enthusiasm for nature and landscape photography. Even if you are not interested in purchasing one of my prints at this time, you can send a free postcard of one of my images to anyone with an email address.
